In the desert of Osirion, off by the Junira river there lives a group of beings known as the Lamia. It was thought at first that they were violent like the rest of there kin, but one man lost from his trading caravan found them by accident. They took him in and gave him rest and supplies. After he reached Sothis he told of the villages aid, and they soon became a trade town, a small one that was considered a only if needed.
Physical Description Edit
From the waist up they are human in appearance with tan skin and waist down, a snake tail that varies in color from person to person. The hair color tends to match the scale color or it is black with a tint of the color.
They are a trader group that as of late has been going up in stops and has begun to let others stay and live in town due to a member of the group leaving for religious reasons. The people are quite religious, their city was built around the temple that was built first. Their deity is known as A’Saclea, Great Snake, in common.
As of late they have been more secluded but have decent relations with and traders as being they tend to hate gnolls as they hate the idea of slavery and are rather indifferent to other races as it stands. Since the destruction of the city of Sothis there has been a large influx of trade in the city in the past 50 years, thanks to it being accessible and some wealthy investors.
They tend to end in the chaotic sector but if they are more devoted to the church or the people they will be chaotic good. Only in instances of extreme hate and disdain for others or some other traumatic event will they end in evil.

Legless Benefit: Lamia have no legs, and therefore cannot be tripped.
Skill Training Benefit: Diplomacy and heal skills are always considered class skills for members of this race.
Seducer Benefit: Members of this race add +1 to the saving throw DCs for their spells and spell-like abilities of the enchantment school. In addition, members of this race with a Wisdom score of 15 or higher may use charm person once per day as a spell-like ability (caster level is equal to the user's character level).
Slapping Tail Benefit: Members of this race have a tail they can use to make attacks of opportunity with a reach of 5 feet. The tail is a natural attack that deals 1d6 points of damage plus the user's Strength modifier if Small, 1d8 points of damage plus the user's Strength modifier if Medium, or 1d10 points of damage plus 1-1/2 times the user's Strength modifier if Large.
